FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers about pricing, models, ownership, and how InkMirage handles your work.
- How does pricing work?
- You buy credits, and each generation deducts a fixed number of credits based on the engine and image size. The cost is shown before you generate, every charge is logged in your wallet ledger, and unused credits don't expire as long as your account is active. We don't mark up the underlying model — the credit cost reflects what each generation actually costs to run, plus a thin operating margin.
- What model is behind InkMirage?
- All generations route to gpt-image-2. We don't train our own image model; what we build is the workflow on top — character cards, region edits, comic and storybook composers, brand kits. Calls go through routing partners with redundancy so a single provider hiccup doesn't stall your queue.
- What image sizes and formats are supported?
- Square (1024×1024), portrait (1024×1536), and landscape (1536×1024) are the standard outputs. Long-image stitching can produce taller compositions for scrolls and storyboards. All exports are PNG; you can download the original at full resolution from your gallery.
- How do you keep a character consistent across images?
- Save a character card by uploading one or more reference images and giving it a name. Then `@name` it in any prompt and the model conditions on that reference. It's not perfect — gpt-image-2's identity preservation has limits — but for stylized characters and most face references it holds well across outfits, poses, and scenes.
- What's your refund policy?
- Failed generations (model error, timeout, content filter rejection on safe prompts) automatically refund the credits — you'll see the refund line in your wallet ledger within a few seconds. For accidental top-ups, email support within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund unused credits to your original payment method.
- Do you train on my prompts or images?
- No. We do not train any model on user content. Your prompts and generated images are stored so you can access them in your gallery, and they're sent to gpt-image-2 to fulfill the request you initiated — that's it. Public showcase opt-in is explicit per image; private images stay private.
- Can I use the images commercially?
- Yes. Images you generate on a paid plan are yours to use for personal or commercial purposes, including in client work, products, and marketing. Free-tier generations are also yours, with the usual caveats around respecting third-party rights, likeness, and trademarks in your prompts.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your prompts, generated images, character cards, and account record. It cannot be undone. Unused credits are not refunded on deletion, so consider exporting your gallery first.
- What languages does the studio support?
- The interface ships in English and Simplified Chinese, with Japanese and Spanish on the way. You can write prompts in any language gpt-image-2 understands — the model handles the translation internally.
- How do I get help?
- Email support@inkmirage.com. We aim to reply within one business day. For account-specific issues, include the email you signed up with and, if relevant, the task ID from your queue.
